Golden Gate Park was so deliciously serene and quiet today. It was just what I needed. My commute to work is through a busy part of town, and after breathing in too much car exhaust and almost getting run over in intersections, a little fresh air and solitude was just what I needed.
Stow Lake, a major hot spot for ducks and seagulls, always makes for a beautiful retreat (although a friend of mine says it's haunted). There are lots of people picnicking and riding paddle boats. I think I'd terribly miss the park if we ever moved to a different neighborhood.
Oh and this is what I've been wearing lately: chunky knits, warm coats and usually a hat to disguise my confused hair. I think it's going through a Regae phase lately, because I've been battling some stubborn dreadlocks. Could be an interesting change...

Golden Gate Park is the perfect escape. Do you ride your bike to work?!
